The WRLA hosts and supports a variety of networking events throughout the year. Events include the annual WRLA Buying Show, the WRLA Memorial Golf Tournament, NexGEN student activities, and many more! WRLA understands that business is built upon the strength of relationships and we are here to help our valued members connect to each other in meaningful ways. Each event provides a unique opportunity for you to connect with your customers and vendors.
All the services and activities in which the WRLA facilitate are for our paid, current WRLA Members only. Therefore, a company must be approved for WRLA Membership and in good standing to access our annual show and attend other events throughout the membership year.
Each year in January, the WRLA hosts our closed-show, for WRLA Members only. Suppliers, service providers, and retailers can network with each other whether on the show floor or at one of the special events hosted throughout the week. Our opening night event brings hundreds of LBM Industry professionals together in a fun, casual setting. This is an event you don't want to miss!
At the show, exhibitors (WRLA Associate and Affiliate Members) meet with retailers to showcase and sell their products. We encourage exhibitors to offer exclusive onsite deals and show specials for retailers.
Retailers have FREE unlimited entry to the show. This is considered a key membership benefit for WRLA Retail Members. Retailers can take advantage of special exclusive pricing and checkout the latest and greatest products to bring into their stores. In addition, there are always retailer incentives and draws for those who purchase at the show.
The Buying Show Live Stage is a platform for special guest speakers, new product demos, and product knowledge sessions. The WRLA Board of Directors invites all WRLA Members to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which takes place during show hours. This is your chance as a WRLA Member to get involved and add value to your association and industry.
The annual WRLA Memorial Golf Tournament is held in Winnipeg every year and it's a fun-filled day of networking and business development. The WRLA brings together hundreds of industry professionals at this event to raise funds for the WRLA Education Grants Program.
