Education and Training

Today’s professionals need to vastly expand their skill-sets to move up the corporate ladder and succeed in a fast-paced and changing economy, as well as better serve their customer base by offering services that are above and beyond expectations. Working professionals looking to advance their careers must set themselves apart from the competition by matching their skills to employers’ needs. Education is a must for a promising and secure future and a stable life.

The WRLA offers courses that emphasize industry-related skills such as estimating, purchasing, warehouse management, inventory control, marketing and financial management. Learning to use the tools that facilitate these kinds of skills, such as spreadsheets, 3D presentation software and reading, and understanding blueprints, would then enable learners to specifically exercise those areas of customer service and sales in the workplace.

Due to the wide distribution of members across the prairies, the north and NW Ontario, member rebates are available to offset the cost of travel and expenses to attend these courses. Please note that courses must be paid in full by course date, and rebate forms sent to the WRLA office no later than 30 days from course completion date.
