Bursaries and Scholarships
Since 1990, the WRLA has demonstrated its commitment to continuing education by offering scholarships to WRLA member employees and their dependents.
Over $30,000 in Bursary and Scholarship funds per academic year may be awarded to selected applicants who have been accepted full-time (minimum 60% course load) as of September 2012 for their first or second year of studies at a recognized University, College, or Technical Program.
Full and part-time employees, owners and their dependants of WRLA Retail and Associate Member firms, are eligible to apply after 1 full year of membership. The applicant must be under 25 years of age at the time of application. All employees must have been employed with the member firm for at least one year. Full-time student defined as a minimum 60% course load.
You must be a member of the WRLA (for 1 year minimum) and meet the criteria listed above in order to apply.

Bursary (Definition)
Non-repayable sum of money presented to an eligible student who has demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic record. Bursaries are awarded based primarily on financial need as opposed to academic merit.
The Bursary and Scholarship Award Program may be altered, amended or discontinued at the discretion of the WRLA Board of Directors.
