Positions Summary 

The new created position of Retail Support Specialist is responsible for the visual merchandising of product assortments for retailers such as lumberyards, hardware stores, home centres etc., within the assigned region. The incumbent is also responsible for the implementation of new retail programs and strategies, targeting the enhancement and the strengthening of the retailer’s business model. 

Description of Responsibilities

In-store Service:
  • Merchandising, implementation and maintenance of new and existing product assortments within the retailer’s location
  • To execute store product ticketing to increase dealer purchasing support through the TIM-BR MART/ Chalifour distribution centres
  • To collect and report to the Regional General Manager information on the continued progress of  in-store product implementation and on the other services provided by the organization


Training & Development:
  • Where applicable, to lead on the training & development of store staff on all key elements of merchandising, stores organization and store upkeep, ordering platforms and processes 


General:
  • Maintain current sufficient level of a working knowledge of all TIM-BR MART/Chalifour retails programs, such as CROS, Price Alert, ECAT (Training will be provided) 


Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Marketing or Business Administration
  • 1- 3 years of retail experience preferable with a solid knowledge of merchandising
  • Ability to travel within Canada up to 80% of the time is required

Home Centre Manager

The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 250 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services.

Pineland Co-op in Nipawin, a progressive co-operative serving a large geographic area in Northeastern Saskatchewan, invites applications for the position of Home Centre Manager.  The Town of Nipawin is located on the Saskatchewan River portion of Tobin Lake.  The area is an outdoor paradise with access to some of the best hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, golfing and other outdoor recreation areas in the province.  The main industries include agriculture, tourism, honey production and canola oil processing.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pineland Co-op Home Centre.  Duties will include the organization and co-ordination of large volumes of lumber products, overseeing project estimates and contractor relationships along with responsibility for overseeing budgeting, ordering, receiving, department business planning, and merchandising for the lumber and hardware departments.

Applicants must have retail building materials management experience, as well as a background in hardware retailing, complete with excellent product knowledge.  Previous experience in the lumber industry will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented, and possesses strong business management, administrative and supervisory skills.

BRANCH MANAGER

WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLERS & DELIVERY PERSONNEL 

Consolidated Gypsum Supply Ltd. is a building supply company serving builders, contractors, and the general public for over 35 years!  Our branch offices are located in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Canmore, and Saskatoon. 

Warehouse Material Handlers

Material Handlers unload incoming shipments of materials sort, count; organize these materials in our warehouses and outdoor storage yards. They assemble orders and load our “delivery vehicles” and our “pick-up” customers.

Operating mid to large size propane forklift trucks, material handlers are good with paperwork, have excellent communication skills and enjoy dealing with customers. Material Handlers are compensated on an hourly basis and work full-time 5-6 days per week, year round and can earn up to $25.00/hour.

You must possess a current Alberta Class 5 Drivers License when applying. Pre-placement drug testing is mandatory.   In addition you must be bondable, have the ability to operate a regular motor vehicle (Class 5) with manual transmission and must have your own means of transportation to/from our facility.

Delivery Personnel

Our delivery fleet consists of tractors, trailers, trucks, remote controlled picker cranes, forklifts and conveyors. Delivery personnel unload and physically place the materials inside buildings or on to roof tops. Working outdoors (in the elements), they do physically challenging work, full-time 5-6 days per week, year round. Delivery Personnel are compensated by a “piece work” payment system and can earn up to $30.00 per hour.

You must possess a current Alberta Class 1, 3 or 5 Drivers Licenses when applying. Pre-placement drug testing is mandatory.   In addition you must be bondable and have your own means of transportation to/from our facility
