Industry Achievement Award

Industry Achievement & Mr. Lumberman Award

 2013 recipient Grant Wilson

The WRLA has honoured one of its members through the Mr. Lumberman Award since 1970. At the Annual General Meeting in January of 1999, the title of the award was changed to reflect the changing industry. It is now known as the WRLA Industry Achievement Award.

Initially, the selection was made by the Board of Directors of the Association. At the Annual General Meeting in 1987, the Board of Directors decided that the nomination of the recipient should rest with the WRLA Members.

The WRLA Industry Achievement Award is celebrating its 43rd Anniversary this year. This award recognizes members of the WRLA who have contributed to their business, the building supply industry, the WRLA and the communities in which they live.
